Summer Track Camp

Increasing your chances to get faster....

We develop campers with detailed instruction to better their event skill, fitness, and nutrition.

Benswic offers summer track camp to it’s Track Club, along with the community for youth  ages 10-18 that are interested in a fun, low-key, and challenging running atmosphere.

August 2nd – 27th;
Monday thru Friday
9:30am – 12:00pm.

What to look forward to

Each day features a slightly different format that allows campers to challenge themselves in a variety of ways:

  • Day 1 Time Trial. Fitness Assessment.We will also focus on the intro of balance, core strength, power, speed and flexibility.
  • Day 2 we focus on plyometrics, strength, agility training and core strength.
  • Day 3 runners will be able to test their fitness and see improvement in there runs –– allowing them to get ready for competitions.
  • Day 4 Strength & Power. Where we will cover:
    • Explosive resistance
    • Jumping and plyometrics
    • Efficient power development
    • Correct motor patterns
    • Hill Training
  • Day 5 Finish off with Fitness Assessment, Weight Training & Speed Training
    • Linear acceleration
    • Maximum velocity
    • Lateral movement
    • Multi-directional movement and agility.

Each camper will be introduced to different things –– specializing outside their norm (i.e. Long Distance runner learning sprint techniques and or hurdles); each will participant in relays; proper running skill; and with the focus on his/her specialized event.
