In order to perform a variety of athletic tasks, athletes need strong core muscles for spinal stability and postural alignment. You can’t swing a tennis racket, golf club or baseball bat, or even throw a ball, without engaging a portion of your core. Not only direct but educate too!

As a runner growing up, I was never taught to why I did what I did. Nor the benefit. I guess, I just trusted what they told me to do…if it wasn’t trust, it was because they were coaches. Either way, definitely a lack of thereof.
